  • Some problems with Sportident:
2nd day - something very strange had happened with station on control 85 - some minutes after beginning of the race it stopped to beep and to flash but it went on working and had its data in some SI cards were writen even 30 times!!! This caused quite big problems because there was also some mistake in Orienteering Organizer SW we are using - it was not reading positions on SI Card from position 30 (without time) - so we had to read those SI cards by SportIdent Program.
New SI-Card6, mysterious case for us (only one using), all days without writting of date from last control. We know almost nothing about the format in with are data written in the SI card but it could be 2 reasons
    - the format in which the last control is written in SportIdent6 is different from others
    - the last control is written really in the last positions of the chain and either the Orienteering Organizer software or the SI reading unit ends the reading process before or during reading of last data.
New! Explanation for mysterious SI-Card6 from author of SW (Zbyněk Černín)
The problem was caused by my software. I was probably first time when somenone in the Czech Republic used SI card 6 or 7. The reason was that counter in SI card version 5 show numnber of punched controls+1 and counter in SI card version 6 and 7 show exactly numnber of punched controls. This problem is fixed in Orienteering Organiser version 8.14 build 8108.
