Information for foreigners

Here are some information about our orienteering club, about our maps and competitions we organize.

Our club, Orienteering Club Kotlarka (Kotlářka in czech), was founded in 1982, and since then members of the club take part on orienteering events not only in the Czech Republic, but also all over the world.

But we don't only run in forests, we also organize orienteering competitions on a very high level, and in beautiful terrains mostly in nature reserve Kokorinsko (Kokořínsko), which is situated about one hour drive from Prague, home city of our club.

Every year from 1999, we have organized an international three day event, the Prague Easter, which is situated right in the Nature reserve or in the close neighbourhoud. The Nature reserve, and also the Prague easter, is known for beautiful sandstone rocks and cliffs, situated vertically in two or three lines, and creating in its complexity the so called rock cities.

If you can't come to our competition, you can still experience these beautiful terrains by coming to the Czech Republic on training camp. Here you can look on the list of our maps, we have spare maps of most of them, and we can send them wherever you will stay on your visit of CR.
